The female passenger of a Ford Focus was tragically killed after being hit by a FedEx 18 wheeler along 1-20 in Monroe County, Louisiana. The male driver of the vehicle suffered injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The deadly wreck occurred around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday near the Civic Center exit on Interstate 20; the FedEx truck was pulling double trailers at the time of the collision.

The driver of the Fed Ex was uninjured. The trailer tipped over in the accident and the Ford Focus hit the guardrail. The female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
