A deadly saltwater disposal well explosion in Knott, Texas, just outside of Big Spring, tragically claimed the life of one person and injured three more yesterday morning.

Fatal Blast Erupted at Junction Resources Near FM 846 

On Thursday morning, September 26, officials responded at 9:36 a.m. to a call about an explosion at a saltwater disposal site operated by full water-cycle management company, Junction Resources, located off Farm-to-Market 846.

Junction Resources, which has operated in Martin County since 2019, specializes in developing water wells, water storage pits, pipelines and saltwater disposal sites.

According to Martin County Sheriff Brad Ingram, one person died and three more were injured in a catastrophic blast at the facility. 

The cause of the explosion remains unknown at this time, but Zehl & Associates has already taken legal action, ensuring that the rights of those affected are fully protected while critical evidence is preserved.

Four Victims Rushed to Hospital With Burn Injuries 

One of the three injured in the explosion was airlifted, and the others were taken to a hospital by ground.

So far, none of the injured workers have been identified.  Authorities have not released any additional information regarding the nature of their injuries or their current condition.

 The resulting fire has since been contained at the site, and the explosion remains under investigation.
