Zehl & Associates is representing the family of a young mother who tragically died in a pileup accident that occurred along Northbound I-35 near Berry Street in Fort Worth. News reports indicate a white Freightliner semi-truck traveling in the far left lane suddenly crashed into our client and two other Good Samaritans on the shoulder of the highway.
The Good Samaritans had pulled onto the shoulder to assist our client, who had just been involved in a minor collision. A short time later, another semi-truck that was also traveling in the left lane on I-35 crashed into the first semi-truck, Good Samaritans, and our client.
Our client, a 31 year-old nursing student and beloved mother, as well as all three Good Samaritans, were tragically killed in the multi-impact crash.
The firm’s truck accident lawyers have launched an investigation into the cause of this tragic and preventable crash. We want to know why the operator of the 18 wheeler was traveling in the fast lane on I-35 in violation of traffic signs and TxDOT and municipal regulations that prohibit commercial trucks from traveling in that lane unless passing another vehicle.
We’ve put together a team of experienced accident reconstructionists, engineers, and trucking safety experts to inspect the crash scene, vehicles, and sequence of impacts in an effort to determine why the crash occurred and how this horrific loss of lives could have been prevented.
