Three people were hospitalized Sunday afternoon following a multi-vehicle wreck along Interstate 10 in Orange, Texas, that began with an out-of-control 18-wheeler.
18-Wheeler Went into Skid, Triggering Crash
According to the Texas Department of Transportation, the chain-reaction crash was initiated by a 2018 Freightliner semi-truck as it approached an uneven section of pavement at approximately 2:00 p.m. on October 31st. After crossing the uneven roadway, the 18-wheeler driver attempted to apply his brakes but went into a skid and veered into the left lane, where it struck a four-door sedan.
The driver of a 2017 Harley Davidson motorcycle attempted to stop as he approached the wreck but lost control and slid a short distance away from the previous crash.
All three vehicles caught fire at the scene.
